I moved to California in 2019, right before the pandemic
That’s the year I didn’t take any photos
I was burnt our. Coming off a career in photography, turning a new leaf to dive fully into engineering. So I put my cameras in storage and didn’t take any photos for nearly two years.
This lasted till I met April, and with her I left the lab I was stuck inside all day and began taking photos again. But from a different perspective.
it all started with Instax. Hundreds of Instax photos.
Eventually I got a classic sx-70 and a few other intant cameras.
But even tho I was just shooting for fun, Something was missing. I didn’t feel as much excitement as I thought. There was something missing.
The answer, to take the leica off the shelf and started the film game again

That’s more like it!

I started carrying my camera everywhere. Looking for reasons to go out on a long walk. Chasing light. Having FUN!
Then we started traveling, and I brought my camera!
Then to Joshua tree
Somewhere along the way I brought a Mamiya 7
But I also brought my Leica, as always
